Cass is a working mum of two beautiful children aged 9 and 6. Not long ago she realised that she needed to sort out the familys spending habits and that if both herself and her husband and were both going to work full time, they needed to make sure that the time we spend at home with the kids was quality time (a cliche, but true). Now we are learning to live a more frugal life and spending more time together as a family. Cass is learning that by meal planning and preparing food from scratch, shethe can shave ££££'s off the budget each month.
Cass also writes The Diary of a Frugal Family which is about her familys journey through life. Her plan is to get the blog made into a book for the children when they are older so they remember all the happy times they had while they were growing up
Jen is mum of two energetic boys ages 5 and 6. Jen returned back to her native North East of England (only 12 miles away from Cass) when pregnant with her youngest child in the hope of being able to spend quality time with her children as they grew up. This has meant learning to adapt to living on one income and living as frugal as possible. Jen also menu plans and cooks and bakes everyday. The family also have a small vegetable patch in the back garden and try to grow as much of their own food as they can.
Jen writes at TheMadHouse, about life with two boys, crafting, sewing and learning to live with a double mastectomy. She also writes at A Thrifty Mum about living life as a frugal mum. She is also editor of the Great Toy Guide
