But my flu has turned in to a chest and ear infection and we all need some nutritious and healthy food.
So this week is all about eating a rainbow and introducing lots of veg and fruit in to our diets. But............. for four of the nights the boys have after school activities, which means that MadDad will have to eat on his own when he gets in to work.
Monday
Left over meat and bubble and squeak cakes (left over cauliflower, leeks, carrots, parsnips, cabbage and potato from yesterdays Sunday roast), served with extra spinach.
Tuesday
Daal with Naan Bread
Wednesday
Paella with some lovely squid and fish from Fish is the Dish. This will be filled with colorful peppers, onions and green beans.
Thursday
Pasta. Our current favorite is broccoli and garlic with some Gran Padano, which you can buy from Aldi. Instead of serving Garlic bread with it, it will be a salad of baby spinach, tomatoes, peppers and cucumber.
Friday
Chill Salad bowls from The Hairy Dieters (Which is currently only £4.99 at The Book People). We have this book and I love it. I will be making many more meals from it over the coming weeks.
Saturday
Maxi making pizza aged 4 years old
Home made Pizza and garlic dough balls.
Sunday
Depending on the weather, will be either a Sunday roast or a BBQ whilst we are cycling.
Cass has blogged her weeks menu plan at Frugal Family this week and I am linking this to Mrs M who has lots more inspirational ideas
