Turkey Meatballs in Tomato Sauce....


I made this a few months ago and it's one of our favourite meals at the minute....
For the meatballs:
500g turkey mince
1/2 finely chopped onion.
1 1/2 apples grated.
Mixed herbs
  • Gently fry the onion and add to the apple, mince and herbs.
  • Mix it all together and then make small  meatballs.
  • You can shallow fry or oven bake them or you could just brown them and simmer them in the tomato sauce for ten minutes.
For the Tomato Sauce:
Passata
1/2 onion
2 tsp sugar
1 crushed clove of garlic
2 tsp chopped basil
Chilli (optional)
  • Saute the onion and the garlic.
  • Add the passata, sugar, basil and chilli (if you’re using it) to the pan and simmer for ten minutes.
