We have been on something of a Morrisons kick in The Mad House at the moment. We reviewed the M Savers selection last month and on Friday I visited their headquarters, along with A Frugal Family, Suburban Mummy and Tim from Bringing up Charlie for the launch of #MFest.
On 7th and 8th
of July in the grounds of Harewood House, MFEST will be a delicious mix of
fantastic music, comedy, children’s entertainment and sport – all served up
with an incredible fresh food experience..
We were given a taster of the day with a fab set from Paul Heaton and the Jam. Do listen to this acapella version of Caravan of Love. It really took me back to my youth.
We were then thoroughly spoiled with a cookery demonstration by Aldo Zilli and a fantastic lunch cooked by the man himself.
The
event is set to help Morrisons charity, Raise a Smile, reach a target of
£500,000 for Save the Children.
With
a capacity of 15,000 on each day, MFEST gates will open at 11.00am, with the first act taking to the
stage at 1.00pm. The overall line up includes current
chart acts, breakthrough artists and heritage bands, comedy acts, sporting
legends and children’s entertainers to give the festival a wide appeal for
difficult to please youngsters and mums and dads alike.
