The Great Yorkshire Pudding Challenge....

Today is British Yorkshire Pudding day so what better day for us to launch our search for the perfect Yorkshire Pudding recipe!  We want you to tell us (and even better, show us) your perfect puddings and share your secrets with us so we can all learn to make Yorkshire Puddings that are perfect every time.

I use the same recipe that my Nana and my Mam both used although my Mam used to put an extra egg in sneakily because she said it made the puddings rise more and she wanted my Dad to think that she was better at making them than he was!

The recipe I use is 100g plain flour, 2 eggs and 1/2 a pint of milk.  I pre-heat the oven to the hottest temperature, heat some oil in the pudding tins until it is smoking and then pour in my mix as quickly as I can.  I don't have a set time that I cook them for but it's probably around 20 minutes and they usually turn out something like this:

Jen will be along shortly to share her recipe with you and in the meantime we'd love to see your puddings ;-)

If you leave a link to your puddingy posts, we'll be along to have a look and maybe even steal try your recipe on here to see if it works better than ours....
